The China Equine Cultural Festival (CECF) was created and launched in September 2013 in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. The two day event attracted government support as well as leaders of industry from across China and around the globe including:
- Mr. Louis Romanet, President of the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities
- Longines: Official Timekeeper
- Coolmore: the world's leading breeder and racehorse owner
- Arqana China: auction partner
- International jockeys including world champion Joao Moreira
- Keynote speakers including the His Excellency Professor Dr. Joseph Deiss (former President of Switzerland); the Right Hon. Lord Howard of Lymphe (former Leader of the British Conservative Party);
The CECF Hohhot Raceday was the first internationally endorsed race day in Mainland China for more than half a century.
