Designed by Malaysian outfit TAK – the master planner behind the Palm Deira – which has also served as the project management firm for the first phase of Meydan City, the grandstand’s most impressive point, however, is at its centre where the seating, restaurants, bars and VIP/corporate suites are topped by a cantilevered crescent roof that runs 426m in length and spans 56m across.

Ms. Alexandra Kingston is the Stud Manager of The Chase, the China Horse Club’s expanded showpiece equine estate in the Southern Highlands of NSW, Australia. Ms. Kingston oversees the day-to-day management of the property inclusive of all staff and the Club’s boarding broodmares, foals, weanlings and yearlings. In addition, she works in collaboration with Mr Mike Smith in the selection and preparation of yearlings and broodmares for auction. Ms.
The journey to the Emirates Dubai World Cup is especially poignant for the China Horse Club with its genesis intrinsically tied to the creation of the iconic Meydan Racecourse and grandstand.
The China Horse Club’s Vice President, Eden Harrington, is in Dubai ahead of the USD12 million Emirates Dubai World Cup where the club and its partners, WinStar Farm, are being represented by Life Is Good.

In a glittering career the Harvard University Graduate has demonstrated an ability to both see and then capitalize on business opportunities across a myriad of different industries. Over the last three decades he has founded and continues to chair a portfolio of companies that have gone on to demonstrate international excellence in their respective fields. He is also a Chairman of the Shanghai Entrepreneur Association.
Ms. Ivy Ng is the co-founder of TAK Group of Companies and its network of corporations. Throughout a 35-year career Ms. Ng has been at the forefront of the group’s achievements as it has demonstrated excellence across South-East Asia, the Middle East, Caribbean and western hemisphere. A qualified Architect with extensive experience in masterplanning and urban design, Ms Ng has been especially central to projects including but not limited to New Federal Government Administrative Centre of Putrajaya, Meydan, Palm Jebel Ali, Palm Deira, Pearl of the Caribbean and the Alpina Mountain Resort.
Mr Chiang See Poh is a senior advisor to the Group Chairman of TAK Group of Companies and also leads Human Capital Management. This is the latest senior post in a career of high achievement that has included roles as CEO, SonLife International Pte. Ltd (farming, processing, distribution of seafood from Myanmar); Executive Director (Finance and Business Development), OCK Construction Pte Ltd (civil construction); CEO, Natsteel Trading Pte Ltd; and Vice President (Credit and Marketing), DBS Bank.
Mr Ng Chee Choy is the Lead Project Director within DSH and will oversee and manage the implementation, planning, design and construction of the development. He has led the planning and initial construction phases of the Pearl of the Caribbean (St Lucia) and project managed projects in major international markets including the reconstruction of Nad Al Sheba Maktoum Grandstand, Meydan Grandstand & Racecourse, Emirates Equestrian Centre, Bad Al Sham Desert Resort & Spa. Mr Ng is a graduate of Kent State University (USA).
As Vice President of the TAK Group of Companies, Mr Eden Harrington plays a lead role in overseeing a diverse portfolio of global companies. He leads international relationship management, strategic planning, communications & negotiations. He oversaw the creation & emerging of China Horse Club as an international force & most recently oversaw the creation of the Royal Saint Lucia Turf Club, including its successful launching & that of the multibillion-dollar Pearl of the Caribbean integrated development.
