Darren Tan

Position

Mr. Darren Tan is a Vice President and Head of Risk Management at TAK Group of Companies where he works directly with the Chairman on the group’s diverse range of businesses. He has been instrumental in establishing businesses within the Pearl of the Caribbean project; setup a division of the company in China and was part of the management team that oversaw the successful design and implementation of Meydan Grandstand Hotel and accompanying hospitality areas. Mr Tan has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hon.) and Masters in Industrial Design.

Roger Tham

Position

Over more than 20 years, Mr. Roger Tham has developed extensive expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, cash flow management & group consolidation in industries including Oil & Gas and Construction across Asia, the Middle East, Australia, HK & the Caribbean. Mr Tham is responsible for all finance & accounting matters associated with Pearl of the Caribbean. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) & Chartered Accountant of Singapore (CA (Singapore)) & has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting.

Richard Yoong

Position

Mr Richard Yoong is responsible for day-to-day finance, accounting and treasury operations for the TAK Group of Companies. He also works closely with management on the group’s funding, cash flow and banking requirements. Prior to joining the group in 2014, Mr Yoong had accumulated extensive experience in auditing across different industries, this background provided him with extensive knowledge of how to look at the financial bigger picture, especially in the aspects of internal control and identifying risks.

Tan Yoke Seam

Position

Ms. Tan Yoke Seam is the IT General Manager for TAK Group of Companies overseeing the day-to-day IT requirements of international offices and staff as well as cyber security for the group. In a career of almost three decades within the company, Ms. Tan’s proven capabilities and adaptability have also seen her expand her involvement to play key roles in graphics, website management and event management. In addition to these responsibilities, she has extensive experience in architecture, masterplanning and structural projects.

Johannah Teo

Position

Ms. Johannah Teo is a key member of Teo A. Khing Design Consultants and its parent company. As a graduate of the acclaimed Cardiff University (Bachelor of Science Degree in City & Regional Planning) and with a Masters Degree from City University London (Master of Science in Management), Ms. Teo’s exceptional versatility has allowed her to play vital roles within the TAK Group of Companies corporate portfolio. She is an avid reader and quick learner on culture and new ideas.

Hairul Nizar Bin Tamaddun

Position

Royal Institute of British Architects, Royal Society of Arts London, Barclays Bank & Malaysia Architects Association are among those to have recognized the work of Design Director Mr Hairul Nizar Tamaddun who has worked on notable projects across multiple centres in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Mr. Nizar has also been involved in China-ASEAN One Belt & One Road initiatives, developing master plans and strategic infrastructure assets as well as strategic financial and business development to ensure projects have a holistic, viable, profitable and sustainable solution.

Liaw Meng Hon

Position

In a 33-year career, Mr. Liaw Meng Hon has earned a reputation for delivering projects within budget, on time and to the highest order. His tenure with TAK Group of Companies has seen him oversee the construction of some of its most important projects including Dubai’s award winning Meydan Grandstand, Racecourse and Hotel. Mr. Liaw is currently central to planning for the exciting Kenyalang Smart City Masterplan. He also has extensive experience in high rise developments as well as high-end luxury properties.

Mike Smith

Position

Mr Michael Smith oversees the day to day running of a portfolio over 200 thoroughbreds across Australasia as well as a racing stable in Singapore. During his tenure, he has managed the careers of a growing number of elite performers including Captivant, Dame Giselle, Wild Ruler, Prime Star and more recently Stay Inside and Artorius. He has also manged New Zealand Champion 3yo Madison County and New Zealand Joint Filly of The Year, Queen of Diamonds.

Matthew Holdsworth

Position

Mr Matthew Holdsworth manages China Horse Club’s European Bloodstock portfolio of stallions, racehorses, broodmares, yearlings and foals which spans assets in Ireland, Great Britain and France. He has recommended the relocation to Australia of subsequent group winner Paths of Glory in additional to overseeing a number of successful sales results (publicly and privately).

Morgan Harries

Position

Mr Morgan Harries is a member of the senior team within TAK Group of Companies working closely with the chairman and senior advisory in his capacity as a Business Development Manager. The scope of Mr Harries' involvement across the group is expansive with particular emphasis on supporting the establishment of new projects as well as diversifying revenue channels within established businesses within the group.
